Diversity Collection
Nomenclature
In this chapter you find the terms and their optional synonyms used within DiversityCollection together with the assigned symbols.
Specimen
This is the main entity within the database where all other entities relate to.
- Examples:
- Herbarium sheet in a collection
- An empty dataset that links to objects that are only observed and do not exist an a physical collection

Unit
This is the entity for items in the database related to e.g. organisms, minerals etc. that where observed and may exist in a physical collection.
